PetSafe Martingale Dog Collar with Quick-Snap Buckle - Large, 1 Inch, Raspberry

I have 4 month old puppies, Belgian Malinois and a LabraBull. They’re too small for prong collars. They also battle every second, with one grabbing the other by this collar constantly and you would never know by any wear. They’re very durable and effective. We have deer and the dogs go insane when walking the property and I would be dead if I didn’t have these on them. No one has slipped out, they’re adjustable. I like how they look. Easy on and off. Honestly, if these keep working, I will never use prongs again. Very happy with these.

I ordered this back in July for my 14 year old Shiba Inu who had a knack for popping martingale collars. Fortunately he was old and when he popped the collar he didn't really run off. I had to make other collars pretty tight to keep them from popping but then they were hard to get on and off. This solved that problem.Sadly, our Shiba Inu (Masi) unexpectedly passed away a week ago (through no fault of this collar) so I won't be able to report on how it holds up as we only got to use it for about two months.I first ordered a large because it listed a large as being 13" to 20" and Masi had a 15 inch neck. The large was WAY too big and I could not make it small enough to fit his neck. So the large will NOT work on 15 inch or lower -- maybe it is supposed to be 16 inch and bigger?Easy exchange on Amazon to get the medium collar and that worked great.

Not all Martingales are the same, even if labeled "Petsafe". This exact collar came on our newly adopted dog, and the collar lasted more than 3 years. I had been looking for the same style for quite some time. Most stores carry larger sizes only. Bought Amazon's smallest size, 3/8" width, for our 7-pound pup, and it's perfect. The side clip for easy on/off is a must, much better than other over-the-head designs. Safe, easy to use, comfortable!!Bought this collar in other colors because price is so reasonable. Delighted to find it on Amazon!!

I would absolutely recommend this brand for medium to larger dogs. Not for dachshunds or smaller dogs. I measured my dog's neck as recommended and ordered according to the size chart. Had to tighten it as far as possible. Thankfully when she puts tension on it it doesn't slip off. No tension it dangles too loose.Size runs big. The loop with the leash ring is oversized and my dog can chew on it.It did come a day early which was great cause she is an escape artist.The quality is awesome.

Recommended by my rescue group. I had forgotten that I've used them many years ago. It fits well on my 4.5 month old puppy, secure and sturdy. Definitely a great value. Comes in a variety of colors. The locking clasp and leash ring are sturdy and secure. Much nicer alternative to "choke" collar

I love the durable construction, the color, usefulness and comfort provided by this collar. I like the unique feature it has. There's an attachment on the collar where you attach the leash. If the dog tries to back out of the leash it will tighten to a point that helps prevent the dog from sliding out of the collar.

I appreciate that this has a buckle on the martingale collar. I use martingale for walking and do not leave on my dog, have another collar that stays on with tags. This is easy to put on and take off. Good quality also.

The size descriptions are deceiving and the loop (the main feature) is designed too long to make sense. We have a boxer with a pretty big neck, 18". So we chose the Large size (13"-20"), thinking that this refers to the adjustment range of the collar. However, it turns out that the shortest you can make it with the loop being "relaxed" is 20". When the loop tightens by pulling on the leash, the overall length can go down to 13". In other words, with a 18" neck, the collar hangs pretty loose even on the shortest setting, basically just held in place by the ears. When you pull on the leash (or the dog gets hung up!) it'll tighten just like a slip leash. Nothing "safer" or more comfortable about this one.

My dog is leash reactive and lunges, this collar is holding up against the pulling! Nice purple colour too

Essa coleira realmente é perfeita. Minha cachorra sempre conseguia fugir com outras coleiras e com essa ela não consegue mais. Ela é ótima pq não machuca e evita a fuga nos passeios onde minha cachorra se assustava com barulhos ou a presença de outros animais.

Tal cual bueno , bonito y barato , bueno igual y no regalado , pero buena calidad , a mi me gustan los martingale porque así puedo corregir a mi mascota sin ser uno de castigo , resistente con variedad de colores , y me encanto lo del clip para abrochar y desabrochar sin tener que estar corriendo las correas para hacerlo grande y chico cada que se lo quito /pongo.

Good quality and reliable. Easy to fit and easy to get on and off.It does not stop my dog pulling, but it does give a bit more control when it does pull, and it also removes any possibility of slipping out of it's collar.I bought the 3/4" Small and it fits my dog perfectly. My dog is the size of a small working lab or a large show springer spaniel.This is a good buy.

I am super happy after purchasing this one. The other brands in the name of martingale collar offered heavy weight with chains and I didn’t like it. If you are looking for a light weight, sturdy one and in every sense a true martingale collar which doesn’t hurt your dog, please go for this. Max, my german shepherd loved it.
