I put it in the kitchen area and it automatically flicks itself on at night, then hums quietly and glows while it does its work. After a few days use I have no flies zipping about and they’re stuck in the bottom on the paper. I’ll keep it running though just to make sure they don’t come back and the population builds up again.

**Q: fan seems to be disconnected.  should this be one solid piece or is it broken?**

If the fan is disconnected, then you have received a broken unit. We recently had a small manufacturing error and defective units were accidentally sent to Amazon.

**Q: Where do I find replacement glue pads?**
A: I used one of the replacement glue pads as a template on basic yellow sticky traps. Two discs can be cut from one sheet, and has the advantage of being double sided. Seemed to work just as well. MUCH less expensive and more readily available than the Katchy glue boards.

Please understand that my problem was with fungus gnats. If you problem is with some other type of insect, your milage may vary.

**Q: How does this product work with no seeums?**
A: Works awesome for no seeums believe me you won’t regret buying one. I love mine. As a matter of fact I haven’t had one of them fly by my ear since my purchase. Had it about a year and a half.

the product is amazing and works! the only problem i found is that there is no chance to open the top to clean the top plastic parts which would accumulate hair from cats specially :) would have been good if it did. as this will block the sucktion and decrease it is effecincies
