There is a basic 8" rubber antenna, also. **Q: Whats the distance of coverage??** A: I'm sorry to say that I don't know. The unit was so strong that it was coming in on all my audio equipment. I tried putting it away from my equipment, but the RF leakage into anything connected to it made the whole thing useless. It's possible that proper shielding and ferrite chokes on the cables might have solved the problem, but I don't know. I never checked to see what kind of range it had. It certainly covered the whole house without any problem. Any further than that would be frowned upon by the feds. I suspect that it would have gone quite a distance. Anyhow, I returned the unit with a note saying that it was too powerful for what I needed. **Q: Does it have a fan? Or, more directly, does it make noise? Thanks.** A: NO HEAT, NO FAN and NO NOISE! THIS TRANSMITTER IS ACTUALLY "TYPE ACCEPTED" WITH THE FCC (which is apparently a big deal) SO...BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! **Q: Are there any other settings on this transmitter, besides the frequency?
