Since it has a float the draw would be minimal **Q: I bought this pump it only works not the test mode . It will not come on with the switch inside of the base .what could cause this ?** A: The +12V can go to either the brown wire or the brown/white wire. The brown wire connections forces the pump on. The brown/white wire connection is routed through the float switch, so only turns on when the float rises from water. The “test mode” is just a know on the pump the physically lifts the float to turn the pump on. **Q: Does the pump have an interdies this have an internal fuse?nal fuse?** A: My bad! It does NOT have an internal fuse. **Q: Power consumption?** A: I didn't notice any drain on the battery, I guess it depends on how bad your boat leaks.
