**Q: Forgive my ignorance, how is this used in swimming? Do we place between our legs? if so, how do we kick then? Please educate me on this one. Thanks !**
A: Ok, the pull buoy is a basic piece of swimming equipment used to improve a swimming's power. A buoy is typically held between the thighs to float the hips and legs at the surface of the water.  The action of swimming with a buoy is called pulling because only the arms are used for forward momentum.

**Q: One comment said less drag; one said more. I get drag (which I want, to work the arms) from just not kicking. Will this increase arm work (my goal)?**
A: The Speedo Pull Buoy is a great training aid that is a staple among swim teams around the world. The Pull Buoy was designed provide lift to the swimmers lower body which allows them to focus all their energy on upper body technique and strength to propel them through the water.  

If you are looking to increase overall arm strength, we highly recommend pairing the Pull Bouy with a swim hand paddle. Hand paddles create more surface area and thus require more strength when swimming through the water. 

There are many great content creators on youtube that have produced videos to help show the proper ways to utilize the Pull Buoy and Hand Paddles for arm strength training. We highly recommend that you watch a few videos so you can see how these training aids can help improve your swimming strength and technique.

A: 9.125in long x 5.75in deep. Top is 4in wide at its widest (across where it says SPEEDO) and bottom is 2.875in at its widest (where the Warning text is).

**Q: What are the dimensions of this pull buoy?**
A: Hi there!  The pull buoy's dimensions: 5 1/2" x 9 1/4" (give or take 1/8").  This particular design is MUCH better than the buoys with equal sized ends.  Swim with the larger end of the buoy facing up...towards the ceiling. I hope my response is helpful to you. :)
