A: About 8 1/2 feet from bottom of pole to the trimmer.  Longer for the added saw.

**Q: What material is the pole made of?**
A: I don't know what it is made of but the pruner worked great and was very sturdy for trimming 2 large trees.

**Q: Is there a stronger blade for this pole saw?  The blade that comes with it is weak and wobbly.**
A: make sure it it tightly secured

A: About 2 - 3 feet
