With a stone for indirect cooking and smoking it worked perfect. I'm smoking a ham this weekend with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but a little different than photo. Has 2 extra ribs that could slightly interfere with use in the "up" position *by T***A on September 13, 2017* Solid piece of replacement equipment. Much sturdier than my original (which lasted almost 10 years), BUT to stiffen it up, they've added a couple ribs (not shown in the photos) that could slightly interfere with use in the "up" position --certainly they'll make grill cleaning a bit of a challenge. In the "down" position -- holding a water pan or heat-deflecting material under the main grill -- those extra ribs won't matter, and may give some heat resistance and keep the rack from bending. I guess it depends on your use -- for purely "up" use, you might call this a 3 star item. For purely down use, you could argue it's a 5 star. I'm going to split the difference and call it 4 stars. I like the extra strength, but I'll have to live with extra cleaning effort when I use it for long smokes in the up position. Whom I'm kidding.
