## Description

From the manufacturer Product Details The Flowclear 1500 gal. (5678 L) Sand Filter from Bestway is a highly efficient way to keep clean water flowing through your above ground pool. It is a more cost effective solution as the pump uses silica sand instead of a traditional filter cartridge. While those cartridges need to be replaced every 2 weeks, silica sand lasts up to 3 years. The sand will trap dirt and debris, but a pre-filter strainer basket catches larger things so that the pump will last longer. The filter also comes with the ChemConnect Dispenser, which maintains clean water by providing a stable level of chlorine that is evenly dispersed throughout the pool. This product comes pre-assembled, and is compatible with most 1,100-42,300 L (300 - 11,200 gallon) above ground pools, as it comes with an adapter for pool valves with an outer diameter of 3.8 cm (1.5 in). The sand is not included with this filter - required sand size is #20 silica sand, 0.45-0.85 mm, approximately 9 kg. The filter also works wonderfully with Bestway’s Polysphere Filtration Balls.

Il litraggio della piscina si avvicina alla portata oraria del filtro, quindi anche sovradimensionato... le piscine aperte al pubblico, se non mi sbaglio, dovrebbero avere un ricambio di acqua totale entro 4 ore. Review: Excellent bit if kit - Well worth the upgrade. - Upgraded from a small Intex 604 cartridge filter having spent quite some time researching and trying to find a suitable upgrade for our above ground pool. I kept coming back to various Bestway sand filter models. I wanted a filter that didn't require me to change loads of piping and that could be easily connected to our solar heater, and also would be strong enough to pass through and keep good flow throughout the pool. I also have an Intex skimmer but the previous filter/pump was only rated to 850gph so it barely skimmed. My pools pipework is 32mm and the filter comes with 38mm pipework, however the box comes with various adapters so everything was really easy to connect without having to buy new pipework. This filter is excellent and ticked all the boxes for me. It easily pushes water through the solar heat mat, has good enough pull to skim all the skum off the top of the pool and still has more than enough power to give great circulation to the pool, keeping the water crystal clear. The pump itself is reasonably big but I'd not say it's noticeably loud, it's a slight hum, I actually find it quieter than the Intex filter we had. I have placed it into our shed and have it run in there next to the pool so you can barely hear it. I have filled the sand compartment with filter balls as recommended and purchased through desertcart. They seem to be doing the trick after a few days and keeping the water in excellent condition. The strainer is a handy addition and means I can remove any larger bits missed by the skimmer basket. It also has a build in timer with various time modes that I've not used just yet as I tend to run it manually and switch off a few hours after our children get out in the evening. Great addition. Overall I'd highly recommend this filter. Always overfilter a pool, they'll always give you a filter that's far too small for the volume of water in your pool which leads to cloudy water full of sediment. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend. Well worth the price at time of purchase

Ottimo filtro a sabbia benché sia in maggioranza fatto di plastica. Usato con una piscina bestway 4m x 2,14m x 0,85m. Il litraggio della piscina si avvicina alla portata oraria del filtro, quindi anche sovradimensionato... le piscine aperte al pubblico, se non mi sbaglio, dovrebbero avere un ricambio di acqua totale entro 4 ore. Preso ad un ottimo prezzo visto il periodo Covid in cui tutto ciò che riguarda le piscine o è introvabile oppure costa 4-6volte di più. Ha lavorato tante ore egregiamente.... speriamo continui così ...

Upgraded from a small Intex 604 cartridge filter having spent quite some time researching and trying to find a suitable upgrade for our above ground pool. I kept coming back to various Bestway sand filter models. I wanted a filter that didn't require me to change loads of piping and that could be easily connected to our solar heater, and also would be strong enough to pass through and keep good flow throughout the pool. I also have an Intex skimmer but the previous filter/pump was only rated to 850gph so it barely skimmed. My pools pipework is 32mm and the filter comes with 38mm pipework, however the box comes with various adapters so everything was really easy to connect without having to buy new pipework. This filter is excellent and ticked all the boxes for me. ### ⭐ Works well until you need spare parts

Nice powerful filter pump but my main filter bowl sprang a small leak. Attempts to seal with mastic etc failed due to the water pressure. [Edit 1 year later] - I had got a 2nd one of these to replace the faulty first one. That has now failed in the same way. The filter tank gets a small leak at the bottom. Downgrading from 3 stars to 1.
