The approach will work perfectly for them. It will describe data governance mostly for analytics. I am missing governance for operative systems like SAP, salesforce, ... The business view on data across data sources to govern the data of a company. In their data life cycle data just appears and the is processed and sotred and deleted. But what of master data that is used for several years in operative systems (with one retention policy) and regularly exported, processed and stored (with another retention policy). And europeans will miss a big part - there is no mentioning of the governance that is necessary for DSGVO. The first chapter arms the reader with a good working understanding, with subsequent chapters diving deeper into various topics. The authors bring a very deep understanding of the topic, mixed with a practicality that is refreshing.
