Fact is, I tested my modem with the OEM cable several times and then plugged in the new line before I even moved the modem and discovered to my happy surprise that it was actually faster with this 15 foot cable than the 3 foot OEM green cable that came with my modem. Even the connections seemed more solid. So I think I could have gotten an even longer cable and still had a fine connection.
