In my seventies, tried many traps over the years and these seem to work the best for me. Good, positive setting mode when latching and doesn't misfire when laying out. If the mice are small/light enough then it may not trip...oh well. Set them inside my two-vehicle engine compartments and they have never misfired while driving around. Even drove to the east and west costs without any trouble. You'll need to screw them down however otherwise if they only catch a leg, they can be dragged off and then good luck finding them.
