I have ALS and extremely limited mobility in my legs and very limited strength in arms. Getting in and out of the shower has been very difficult and all the chairs to transition into the shower are too short. I realize this is designed both for toilet and shower but I use it just use it for shower. It allows me to get into the chair outside the shower and slide fully into the shower safely. Highly recommend.

Very lightweight, but extremely sturdy. Very well made. Seat glides smoothly. Very easy assembly.

This is the second one we purchased from your company and neither one worked as we thought it would. The 1st one was shorter and although it fit over the toilet and into the tub the seat would not move directly over the toilet nor would it completely slide within the constraints of the tub. We we’re going to send it back for an exchange for the longer one but found out that it could not be returned if the box was opened even if it wasn’t used by the patient. So, we took the loss and ordered the larger one but it turned out that although the seat could be positioned over the toilet it was not locked in place because there was only one locking position and if we put it in the locking position then it was not positioned directly over the toilet. Additionally, when the seat was moved to the other end inside the tub the seat when in the locked position was overlapping the edge of the tub and was not conducive to taking a shower because water would flow from the seat onto the floor instead of inside the tub. We paid over $800 for both units and now they are stored in the shed. I think the advertisement should include measurements that this product will fit while taking in consideration just where the seat will snap in place. The buyer should be made aware that the length of the product does not mean the seat will move that far but in actuality the seat moves about 3 inches less than the total length of the product. Your company should have a return policy that includes this kind of item since they can be sanitized and one cannot really know if it fits or works without assembling it. Rather expensive to find out it doesn’t work.

I rarely write a review for a product that does what it's supposed to do, but this is an exception. My wife suffered a stroke in Dec. of 2018 and was unable to stand until she got a good Physical Therapist. Now she has very limited use of her right leg. We were able to modify our very small bathroom to accommodate this transfer bench. We simply move the wheelchair next to the transfer bench, and she pivots onto the seat. She can take a shower whenever she wants. I will say after several uses it became more difficult to slide her over but after trying WD40 then beeswax I tried industrial strength silicon spray (available at Walmart) and now it's so easy. She is not tall enough to reach the floor, so we purchased two steppers (amazon) one for inside and one for outside the shower. What a blessing.

But for my boyfriend who is a new paraplegic and when he was in the shower the back of the chair fell completely off and he tipped completely backwards onto his head and back and the bench fell on top of him since we were using the seatbelt. The length of The bench works great for our shower so we were excited to find it. There also is only one arm at the far end of the bench so it is hard for him to pull himself from one end to the vent of the bench to the other with just the bars under the seat . We had to bolt the seed directly into the bottom to prevent any further injury while he showers.

We got this for my grandmother who had a stroke and could no longer go to the bathroom or bathe herself. We originally had a separate toilet and bath seat. But it was difficult to get her in and out of the tub because of how small her bathroom was and she had a hard time lifting her leg to stand up then sit back down. So this made getting her in and out of the bathtub so much easier.The only reason for the 4 stars is because with both of the arm rests on it made the sitting room snug and she was a tiny woman only 120 lbs. so if your larger and want to wipe or wash easily you will need to leave be of the armrests off. We also had to put towels down between the bathtub and the toilet because no matter what we did water would run down the rails and out on the floor. These things however weren’t as hard to fix as having separate seats. So overall the seat worked exactly as we intended it too.

Easy to assemble and performs well.

Bought this for my Mom with dementia so that caregivers could give her a shower safely. The chair works great. Lots of support and it is very easy to control how the person is moved in and out of the shower. Might not work as well for a person over 200 pounds. My mom only weighs about 120. The down side is that it is not an easy fit, and the size cannot be changed. But there are ways to change the size so that you can make the chair fit almost any arrangement. What we did was to take off the legs on the far side of the toilet. This gave us an extra three inches. We then had a carpenter attach pipe flanges to the side of the cabinet. The rails of the chair fit perfectly into the pipes screwed into the flanges. This supported the rails very well and we had no problems. You have to be careful to cover the metal pipes so that no one can get cut or hurt on them. Like I said our Mom does not weigh much. Definitely a good product and useful. Just not perfect.
