Review: Great product, with no instructions - Great quality, works easy, and is solidly built. BUT - comes with no instructions and it is delivered in a locked position. desertcart support could not help. I figured out that by squeezing the punch I could loosen and remove the small black plastic squares that were located under the metal tabs, and I can now use it!
Review: desertcart Basics 2/3 Hole Punch, Semi-Adjustable - Solid, heavy, durable, adjustable sizes, easy to use and gets the job done. Not sure about the thirty sheet capacity, I would imagine it depends on the thickness of stock one uses.. It was worth the money and with proper care (as in most things), I think it will be a lifetime purchase. The size alignment is nice, I would warn not to push the stock to far back or your punches might be farther back then you might want for your binder(s), test a single page or two and you'll find, I think, your preferred sweet spot.

**Q: How do I get it out of the locked position?**
A: Push the lever down, then release the block (rotating metal piece) on the side.

**Q: What is the distance between the edge of the paper and the nearest edge of a punched hole?**
A: I punched a paper and then measured from the edge of the paper to the edge of the hole and it was 5/16 inch. Hope this is what you were looking for.

**Q: Can the punch heads be adjusted for paper that is 8.5" x 5.5"?**
A: It looks certainly like if you loosen the screws and slide the punch heads along the slots, you can set the punch holes where you want them.  And it looks anyway like you can remove say the center punch head or one or more of the others, completely, if you want to punch only 2 holes.

**Q: Would it work on 12" paper?**
A: The three holes are centered for 11" .  You can insert a 12" but you will have an extra inch at the top.

If you’re a teacher, you definitely need to purchase this product. Especially to punch those holes in your lesson plans to place in your folder. It’s easy to use, the quality is good and it works great! And it’s adjustable so that’s a plus, you can get two or three holes depending on what you’re doing. I don’t regret buying it, you won’t regret it either. It’s worth the 💰
