Review: No gallbladder and IBS sufferer. Better Alternative to Dr. Danielle's product! - I was using Dr. Danielle's Gut Assist for years. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they decided to add 4 grams of protein into their product. For an IBS sufferer, any protein that is not grass fed isolate protein, gives me killer gas cramps. I had no choice but to find another product with the same ingredients. I tried another product before this one and it did not work. I usually give things about two months before I sincerely review it. It's been two months and I will say this is a great alternative!! Works just as good, if not better, than Dr Danielle's. I haven't been able to eat grapes, no matter what medicine I took, but since taking this, no stomach cramps with grapes!! Also, hardly any taste and mixes well compared to Dr. Danielle's. I was always gagging their product down and their powder was never consistent!! Give this time to work!! Took about two/three weeks for me to actually feel better (especially since swapping different products). Now, I know what you're thinking. That price tag $$$! You're getting a two month supply. Dr. Dannielle's is about 40 dollars per bottle. You're spending the same exact thing in two months. When I bought this it was 68 dollars in March of 2026. I'll have to buy a new bottle soon and I noticed the price has gone up to $77 as of May. It's... technically still around the same price. I'm hoping it won't get above that price, but just know you are getting a two month supply, NOT one month. If you're swapping over from Dr. Danielle's, give this a try. I do want to note I take IBgard, once a day, with this product. That combo seems to work for me.

**Q: Does this contain sugar?**
A: It does not list sugar as an ingredient, although it only says “three key ingredients” which is glutamine, DGL (licorice) and aloe gel.  It does not taste like it has sugar. I have been taking this for probably on and off for a year. It is amazing what it has done for me for my acid reflex. It’s a little pricey; but it is well worth it. It’s not bad tasting. When I first started taking it, I was on Nexium.  I was immediately able to quit taking the prescription. I don’t have to take this product every day and you can take it just as you need it. Which cuts down on the price of course depending on how long it lasts for you. It does also help with my constipation (comfortably). I’m soooo glad it was recommended to me. Side note: There is another product out there that’s a little less expensive; but, it has a worse taste and my experience is that it was not as effective. It’s not worth the $20 savings. Plus, it has ‘shellfish’ in it and not for anyone with those kind of allergies. Do yourself a favor and stick with the real thing.

**Q: There's a scoop that's included, but is 1 serving a level scoop or is 1 serving measured only up to the line that's on the scoop?**
A: This stuff fixed my reflux very quickly, so I have not had to use it for a long time now. But as I remember, I filled it to the top.  I just looked at the scoop in my container and I hadn't even noticed that line before. Yowza, the price sure has gone up! It was totally worth it for me, my sis in law and several friends though.  No more Prilosec!!! I would/will buy it again if I ever need it. I have not had to use it in well over a year and a half and I'm eating my normal diet. Even drink coffee on an empty stomach without any issue. Hope it works for you! John 3:16
