This is one of my favorite tools for bonding, sculpting, and finishing. It holds a decent shape before curing, and cures so great - strong - and shapable (is that a word?) I don't write reviews, but G/Flex deserves a bit of my time to give it a big thumbs-up Review: For cracks - I've been using this to patch small cracks and spider cracks in the transom of my 1970's fiberglass boat. It's easy to mix up and thick enough to apply upside down on the bottom of the boat *without* having to let it set up (semi cure) or mix with fillers like sawdust to make "peanut butter". It's already thick enough (even in a hot Arizona garage) and sticky. I apply it with a plastic mixing stick after opening up the cracks with a dremel. We've used it on pressurized fuel tanks too. Fixed punctures, even cracked threaded connection collars. This is the best epoxy we've ever seen. The key is all in the prep work, using 80 grit as instructed. Once the plastic is sanded and prepped, for added strength it advises "curing" the plastic before applying epoxy by heating that sanded plastic area with a torch (flame). Clearly this step can be dangerous, do only if it's an empty aired out tank. Otherwise skip this step. Prep, prep, prep is the key. **Q: does it work with wood?** A: Yes, but the regular epoxy works very well with wood and is less expensive. I bonded plastic to wood with this. **Q: Will this epoxy work on cement steps** A: Not sure how you're proposing to use it exactly, but it's a great product and will work on virtually anything. **Q: What type of prep work is needed if i'm using this on a scepter water jug? light sanding? i'm trying to glue an abs 6x12" plate to it the jug.** A: Sanding for "Tooth" and then a "Degreasing " on Both Items (jug & base) I use denatured alcohol. I used it to repair a crack in my 10 foot prowler boat. The crack was horizontal about 10” long including an inside and an outside bend. I watched a how to video on utube? Followed the step by step instructions and had the repair patch done in fifteen minutes. Let it dry for 24 hours and put it in the lake. Two of us fished out of it for two days. Worked great. I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a permanent patch for a abs plastic boat.
