**Q: What h/p is it**
A: It is 10 amps with 530 air watts. Converting amps to HP would make it about 1.3HP. It has a lot of suction. I am happy with my purchase!

**Q: Can anyone compare the suction of this vacuum to a shop-vac?  I have a 5hp vac and I hope this is at least comparable.  Thanks!**
A: I have installed in my garage strictly for cleaning the car, it does that very good. it has a lot of suction, I would say its comparable to a shop-vac but wouldn't recommend picking up anything to big. I go through and pic up anything to big that is the difference I can see between this vac and a shop vac.

**Q: How many gallon capacity is this in other words how long before it needs cleani g?**

I got my vacuum and it took me about 15 minutes to put together and hang on the wall . The instructions could have been a little better for the attachments. The suction power on this vacuum is great I was very surprise and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying this model .
