## Description

Final Fantasy XIII-2 : Square Enix LLC: desertcart.ae: Videogames

Review: After the mediocrity that was FF 13 with all the complaints from fans it received i truly feel this game redeems the quality and epic nature that is suppose to be a FF game. If you just can't let go of the changed fighting mechanics from 13 than you most likely wont like this version but know that you definitely are missing out. No more filler for the sake of filler, no more 25 hours before the game gets going. Paced beautifully this game takes you from past to future to paralleled universes to alternate worlds all without making it feel forced. FF 13 story is reflected upon and integrated nicely so new players are not left out. To me they hit the epic mark in this installment and it's been awhile since i felt that way (i just don't like the ending). I could go on and talk about everything i like but then whats the point? Go play it for yourself.
Review: Recibí el juego en perfecto estado, nuevo y sellado, perfecto para mí colección

I enjoyed FF13, but it's a game with a number of glaring flaws. I avoided FF13-2 for some time because FF13 left a bad taste in my mouth. After all the good word-of-mouth and recommendations from close friends, I decided to give FF13-2 a chance. I went in expecting an improved sequel and what I got was a much, much better sequel. Pros -Greatly more open-ended. You're allowed to travel to any area / time period you've been to at any point during the game except for a few moments when the plot locks you into an area. Areas are also much more open to explore. -Monster-catching is awfully fun. There are lots of monsters to catch for each of the six roles and monsters can be infused to transfer abilities if you enjoy min/maxing. -Much more post-game content. FF13 had only monster hunts and maxing out your Crystarium after you defeated Orphan. FF13-2 has chocobo races, gambling, collecting fragments, bonus endings, unlocking fragment skills, collecting all the monsters, and bonus bosses. -Battle system has two notable improvements: switching paradigms is much faster and the party leader dying isn't always an instant game over. -Serah and Noel are immediately more likable than FF13's cast. I eventually did like the cast of FF13, but it took considerable time. Surprisingly, Noel is optimistic and upbeat despite being from a future where he's the last human alive and rarely whines about it. Mixed -Square Enix knows how to make good eye-candy and some environments are very pretty to look at, but you can certainly see the age of this generation's consoles with FPS drops at some points when quite a bit is happening on-screen, artifacts, or close-ups of hands. Cons -Perhaps the game is balanced around hunting for fragments after you beat the game, but the game felt a little too easy. I did grind a bit for monster materials, but nothing significant. Before I knew it, I had a number of roles at high levels and boss fights were hardly challenging for the most part. -The storytelling is handled very poorly. The story itself isn't so bad once you get to the end and it's more understandable; until that point, however, the game either focuses too heavily on plot points that aren't as important as the game would like you think, poorly explains elements, or waits too long to introduce what actually is important (like Caius' real motivation). -Part of the ending is DLC. Serah and Noel have their own battle with Caius in Academia 500 AF while Lightning fights her own battle in Valhalla. To see Lightning's side of it, you have to pay for DLC. That's just such a shameful tactic to charge for part of the ending. -It's not a major issue, but I dislike seeing costumes as paid DLC. I feel that content like that should be something that you unlock by playing the game just the way it was in previous generations. You don't have to do this, Square Enix. Your game is good enough to stand on its own. All in all, FF13-2 surprised me with how much I love playing the game. I don't normally 100% a game, but I'm well on my way to doing that in FF13-2 because it's just so enjoyable. Give 13-2 a chance if you weren't a big fan of 13.
