I bought them to get rid of a 3x3x3 foot stone in my lawn. If I wasn't careful my mower blades would hit the stone so it had to go. I drilled 5/8 holes in the stone with a rotary hammer drill, inserted the plug wedges and feathers and proceeded to gradually drive them home with a 3 lb hammer. I took my time and suddenly a crack appeared along the line of wedges. It split the rock in two, as advertised.
