Thank god for Elan!For years I have been looking for a granola that's simply quality ingredients and not a lot of added garbage. Elan is exactly that with just gluten free oats, nuts, seeds, coconut, virgin coconut oil, and Vermont maple syrup.On paper it sounds great, but how does it taste? Fantastic! The 1.1 ounce serving pouch is just the right amount to enjoy. With so few and such simple ingredients, you can taste every individual ingredient, especially the savory coconut oil and the just-the-right-amount-of-sweet maple syrup.Best of all? Yup, it's only got 2 grams of sugar. Elan's competitors have multiples of that, lots of stuff I don't want to put in my body, and don't even taste as good.You've got me hooked. I often have to stop him and ask him if he's eaten anything. His usual responses are, "I don't have time to eat!" Or "I forgot to eat!" This is the perfect solution for a guy like him. I can just toss him a granola shot and I know he is at least getting a little something in his system. I know it's all natural and low in sugar. Best part of all, I know he really enjoys it.These granola shots are not filled with that cardboard tasting stuff from the grocery store. This stuff tastes fantastic! It's loaded with healthy nuts and seeds plus other good things like oats, maple syrup and coconut oil. These packs may be small but, they actually have quite a bit in them. I actually don't even like granola in general, but this granola is different. First of all, it's mostly nuts. It's a blend of chopped up nuts, pieces of coconut and then a little bit of oats. It's not akin to the the processed overly sweet granola I traditionally think of. This isn't a granola bar either. It's loose in a little bag. I eat it on my way to work in the morning, the packinging make it great for on the go. It's a good and healthy breakfast.
