Also below are some tips for you to install the switch: The 2 terminals are same, no negative and positive. Just like a switch, connected to the switch on both sides so when you flip the switch it cuts the circuit. More, recommend to install this cut off switches on the negative, not the positive (lower current in negative, will be more safety). The switch can be install in the negative wire, another short battery cable or cut existing cable and attach terminals on each end. Hope the info can help you. **Q: How far from battery can it be installed?** A: Mine is 2 feet from the battery, I don't think it matters. Your cable size will have to increase the further away from the battery that you install it. **Q: If the switch is on off (red) is the battery not drawing or the disconnect is not engaged and battery still drawing?
