The RPi is only capable of 16 mA per GPIO. You power the power supply module with a 9V battery and the included adapter cable. The USB port on the module is an output, not an input. **Q: Is this product compatible with raspberry pi 3? i saw that according to the description the gpio bread board is only compatible with raspberry pi 2** A: The Raspberry Pi 3 has the same 40-pin GPIO set-up as the 2, so it is compatible. **Q: Is the 40-pin gpio extension board pre-assembled?** A: Yes **Q: One review says all projects now include Python code as well. Is this true? Link on Sunfounder's site still only has C code.** A: I bought this kit after I bought the Raspberry Pi 3B+ in the Spring of 2018. The Sunfounder site had downloads for both C and Python 2 code for it. It was apparent the code there was maybe a couple years old. When I started using the Thonny graphical interface for Python I discovered it required Python 3. I then I had to convert all the included Python 2 code to Python3. This turned out to be relatively easy. Since then Sunfounder has moved their downloads to GitHub where they are kept up-to-date. That means the download from GitHub includes C and Python 3 code.
