I've never known anything to be made by Melissa & Doug that was cardboard so I was very surprised. **Q: Do the barns nest down tightly over each other? How high is the highest barn? How high is the total when stacked?** A: When nesting they just rest on top of each other. if picked upside down they would fall out. I want to say the tallest barn is about 8 inches tall. I don't remember stacking them but I would say about about a foot and a half tall stack on top of each other. **Q: I recently purchased this item to find that once we opened the package the chicken, goat, and the pig were missing.
