It's quite large, but that's nice because the butter doesn't hit the ends making it so you have to clean it all the time. The only con I have is that the grey color on the lid is different than it is on the dishes. This may be because everything is hand glazed and they all have a little bit of a different appearance (which I really like). It just seems like this doesn't match somehow. Not enough so that I'd return it or not use it!
