I have ordered two styles of kiwi knives, the pointed cleaver (288?) and the veggie cleavers for a total of 6 knives. I've never had one arrive damaged. **Q: How is the 288 different from the 488?** A: NO.288 Carving Knife blade 7.75" NO.488 Carving Knife Extra thick blade 7.75" **Q: Does it have a full tang?** A: The tang stops about 5/6 of the way through the handle on this model I believe. **Q: Is this knife thin and does it flex like the 171/172?
