I'd placed it on the sunnier side of my van awning too, so it could've been better, had I put it somewhere shadier.We've used it a few more times and it clearly performs better when it's full. We use a combination of ice, ice packs, pre chilled with some frozen food & drinks.The drainage spout is handy but quite flimsy - I'll likely end up replacing this with a stronger, screw shut stopper.
