One of my dogs has decided she likes them too, and will not stop bothering me until I give her one. As a dog treat they do last a little longer than a normal crunchy one. Also, I found out that goats like them, as I had some goats in my garage who ate a whole package. And goats really don't eat everything and anything, that's a common misconception. I don't recommend or encourage feeding these to animals, if anything, I advise against it, since they'll only want more and more and will never leave you alone if you have them again yourself. My one dog knows the sound of the opening of the Twizzler bag and will come running from miles away, it's terrible what I started. And then she'll just be a butt until I finally throw one to her. I like to think these are a healthier sweet treat since they're "fat free" but I know that's dumb, and they're bad for your teeth, too.
