I'm in an apartment and don't want to damage the wall.** A: short answer, no. I've used and will continue to use these but i would NOT remove them from the wall if you aren't prepared to at minimum repaint behind. In my opinion things like these aren't supposed to be removed from the wall and are "Set it and forget it". i removed one from the wall, it took up a lot of paint (to be fair it was pretty new paint) i scraped all the paint chips off the back of the adhesive AND 60-70% of the adhesive off the back ENTIRELY. let the product sit around for a couple weeks back adhesive exposed to dust etc. while i waited for my new cords to reuse it with. after ALL that it stuck to the wall securely a 2nd time with only 30% of its strip left. This is just an example of the strength on it.
