Except, when you are taking window casings and baseboards off in a 2000 square foot 60 year old house and to do it carefully budget a couple of days. I dont have the patience to be careful so my wife took on this task. Started at 830 am and when I took a coffee break at 10:30 my wife joined me and asked me what I wanted her to do next. I suggested to start taking off the doorknobs when she was done and nearly fell over when she said she was already done. When I saw the job she did I was even more surprised, there is not a single mar or dent anywhere on the drywall, forget the patching compound cause its going back to the store. This tool took off every single piece easily and very cleanly. Amazing. I figured since this thing seems to be over built and heavy duty we would try it on the bathroom wall tile and kitchen backsplash, an hour later…that was done to. The old adage of use the right tool for the right job could never be truer than it is with this trim puller. Spend the 50 bucks, save days of paintstakingly removing trim and touching up dents from the pry bar.. No damage to plasterboard to boot. You tube will tell you to get a pry bar, tradesmen will say use wood behind the pry bar to stop you damaging the plaster.
