I have no experience, but I laid out a paisley bandanna and used it for reference to create the pattern. I realize it is off-center but again as stated, I am an amateur. I think that the product saturated really well because it is felt it did soak into the material of the hat so I had to go back over some areas a few times, but other than that, it was great. I thought, this might work and it would save me some money. Well, it worked perfectly! The photo on Amazon seemed like a lighter shade of blue. But it was definitely Navy Blue. The jar is pretty small so you project wouldn't be a large sofa or sofa chair.
