I know if you put it on a airhose fitting and then pressurize it right away, it won't hold and start to push it out of the threads. I think it takes 24hrs to setup fully. **Q: Use on drinking water systems?** A: Not sure, I used it on air lines outside. I would use Teflon tape on water. **Q: Can one use teflon tape, then apply this product on top of the tape (for water pipe threads)?** A: You would use one or the other, you wouldn't use both... this would take the place of teflon tape. **Q: Can this be used on a high pressured air mattress hose? Once the sealant dries it has the same consistency as the tape. It definitely sticks to your skin well and can be hard to wash off.
