I prefer the original scent, which is more toned down and not as harsh. **Q: What's the difference between this one and the other colors? Some more pasty, others more gooey, as well as the odor they have are different but I would say the main difference is the strength each one has on the hold factor on your hair. It is use to use reactivates with a small amount of water. Hold my hair in place when I ride my Harley with or with a helmet. Lasts for days if needed but washes out is seconds as well. Johnny B King mode is the best. They make other modes that I have not tried but the Kind mode purple gel is amazing. I may even get a tattoo of their mascot.
