I chose the thickest, least-arched brow in the packaged because it matched my brow shape the best. Pick the one that matches your natural curve, length, and thickness the best. It won't be perfect, and that's what steps 6 & 7 are about!2) punch out the inside portion of the stamp so it is hollow on the inside. Hold this to your eyebrow so the hollow portion is in the exact spot you want it to be at the end.3) Use your darkest, cheapest brown eyeshadow (I use ELF's Mad for Matte palette) to fill in the eyebrow hollow. I mean dark as in if you walked outside with it on, people would stare and wonder what is wrong with you.4) Apply stencil and trace to other eye the same way.5) Asses your dark brows: do you like the placement? The shape? Are they even?6) You may use a makeup removed wipe to remove the eyeshadow if you want to change the position of your brow. Fine detail touchups can be done using ELF's makeup remover pen, or a cotton tip swab with one damp end (you can keep a cup of water nearby to make more swabs if you intend to fiddle a lot.7) BE ABSOLUTELY PLEASED WITH YOUR BROWS PRIOR TO PLUCKING. If you don't like it drawn on, you won't like it permanent. Adjust as much as needed until you like it.8) When you are FULLY SATISFIED WITH YOUR BROWS: pluck around the eyeshadow. Remove all hairs above and below the stencil. Remove any individual hairs that begin with the root AFTER THE END! All hairs with the root in the eyshadow region the end PAST the eyeshadow region, LET IT STAY! Don't pluck it! 9) Trim any hairs that BEGIN in the eyeshadow region and end outside the eyeshadow region. You can use any small pair of scissors for this; it doesn't really matter. Try to trim only one hair at a time so it doesn't look like a cheap haircut; it should only be a few for each eyebrow anyways.10) Use a makeup remover wipe to remove the eyeshadow. Use rice water, iced green tea, cucumber, etc. - whatever it takes to reduce the swelling in your brows - before continuing. Let your eyebrows return to their NORMAL shape and color before continuing. This is vital!11) Brush your brows again. Pluck any hairs needed to finish shaping or to even up your brows. If your brows start swelling again, return to step 10 and repeat 11 & 10 & 11 as needed until you like the end result.12) You can use a razor to remove the super-fine white or light colored hairs under and over your eyebrows that are too numerous and too thin to pluck if they bother you (they always bother me!). This is optional, of course. Protect your eyebrows and eyelashes as you shave. 13) SAVE the stencil in a safe place you won't lose it (like with your brushes). Pluck hairs as they come in, or let them grow out (if you made a mistake) and start over again. It took me like 3 tries to get my brows great, but now they're perfect every time.First time, I only used the stencil and hated how far away my brows looked. Second time, I didn't remove enough hair from the inner portion. Third time, I tried to even them out without waiting for the swelling to go down so one always looked more arched. Don't make the same mistakes! **Q: IS this really an effective product for eeryone? Not everyone has the same shaped eyebrows, so could this really work for any face?** A: I would say yes... At the very most you'd have to groom brows to be less so you are relying mostly on brow makeup... No reason why it could not work on EVERYONE. It may take some getting used to finnicking around the stencil, but overall... I think it's definitely versatile. There is a kinda curved stencil, low arch, medium arch, dramatic arch. They try to get everyone in there. :) **Q: Are these flexible so that they "mold" to the shape or your face?** A: Yes they are flexible and will mold to the shape of your face. **Q: i really dont know how to use this.... can someone teach me how to do this in step by step?** A: Just find the size that fits by using a pencil as a ruler from the side of the nose up to the beginning of the brow, and from the outer eye slanted to the outer part of the eyebrow. Then just pick the arch you like, and hold it over your eyebrow. With eyebrow powder or dark brown eye shadow use a small brush and tap it in the opening. Like stenciling and that's all.
