Review: Good boom for the price - For the price, which is simply incredible, these are 5-star speakers. I picked up 2 for a home stereo project (bookshelf mini-speakers). They arrived incredibly fast and were clam-shelled for extra protection. See picture below for contents. Speaker is 4" square. The leads are marked, but it is really faint; I used a flashlight to read the polarities. Speakers were tested on a Pioneer amp. At 25 watts (4 Ohm impedance) they were clear, loud, and without distortion. The bass registers but is nothing to write home about. The woofer does pick-up beautiful midranges clearly and with an audiophile level not expected for the price. It is a dual cone, so the tweeter is is a whizzer that really can't pick up the high range treble and is mediocre, but passable. The next test was at 50W - likely overdriven somewhat (~55W). Sound output was very good; loud, mostly clear and unexpectedly crisp on midrange (with limited bass) - it played a house mix with boom. Again, the treble suffered; it started to distort on treble laden rock songs (despite the amp actively filtering the signal). Despite this distortion, the speakers are surprisingly good, better than expected, and at that price... need I say more?

**Q: What is the ohm rating on these speakers?**
A: 4 ohm's

**Q: Does this fit 2011 Ram 1500 dash speaker?**
A: The only sure way to tell is to take out the old speaker and measure it. If yours is not the size of the BRS35, there are other sizes available.

**Q: is it important to use the plastic mounting ring?**
A: Not if the speaker fits without them.  I installed them in the front doors in my old Escort without them and they work fine.

**Q: Is it a pair of speakers or just one speaker?**
A: Just one at a time. So you really have to order 2 of them if you need a pair.

For the price, which is simply incredible, these are 5-star speakers. I picked up 2 for a home stereo project (bookshelf mini-speakers). They arrived incredibly fast and were clam-shelled for extra protection. See picture below for contents. Speaker is 4" square. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delivering Powerful and Clean Sound Like a BOSS!

I purchased two BOSS BRS40 4", 4-ohm, 50-watt speakers for a cigar box speaker-amplifier project. I paired these speakers with a class-d amplifier capable of 30-watts peak/15-watts x 2 RMS. To ensure I had some punch in the bass of these full range speakers, I made a small port in my cigar box speaker-amp. I was surprised in the ample bass response coming from these speakers nestled in a 3.75 in. deep cigar box. The speakers arrived on time and in good condition. I would definitely recommend these speakers to family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. I think the price was good and the speaker performance is even better. I am going to purchase these again for similar size cigar box projects. Matter of fact I have two very nice Drew Estates Tabak Especial (Coffee Infused) cigar boxes sitting in my office that will be well suited for this speaker. Unfortunately, I have six other cigar box amps in line before them.
