I use mine all the time at work with no problems!!! **Q: Is this blaster one of the better ones? It doesn't give much details. I have a home garage and want to get a good one. Thank You. Kevin** A: the cabinets you see on ebay and harbor freight tools are all bolt together, even the cabinet itself, ( the upper part where the gloves and window are) are all flat panels that you must assemble using their hardware. those are the ones that you read about people having to silicone all the seams to keep it fron leaking. the nesco 480 cabinet is much nicer, the upper cab part is already put together at the factory. they do not use nuts, bolts or any other hardware like the other cheap ones do. the main parts of the nesco that you have to put together are , the legs bolt to the cab, the funnel bolts to the cab, the tray bolts to the legs and that is a majority of the work. alot stronger and very durable. the cheaper ones you have to put the cab together using nuts, bolts or screws. i go into my local harbor freight tool on occasion and i have looked at these cabinets up close, well for $200.00 you get what you pay for. i use my nesco cabinet at my job for glass beading , i have another cabinet i use oxide in. this nesco cabinet can easily handle oxides and steel garnet with no problems. it is worth spending the extra money for this cabinet!!!! **Q: Can someone recommend a compressor for this? Or at least the number of gallons recommended...** A: I use a Porter Cable 125 gallon compressor to keep up with the air for my blasting cabinet. The second time damaged. Returned both times and will not try a third. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard Working Blaster *by J***E on October 19, 2014* Works good, We've got about 20 hours on it so far with no problems. It will take two people to put it together and takes about 20 minutes. The top cabinet come assembled. You need to put the bottom hopper on and the legs. The air inlet for blasting is on the front right lower corner. We put a 90 on it with a 36" long, 1/4" diameter whip hose, that way the air connection will lay on the floor. We run it at about 60-70 psi. We stuck a shop vac on the hole in back for dust collection. We put a bag in the shop vac, that way the filter didn't get plugged up with the fine sand/dust. Another option we have used in the past was a Dust Deputy to filter out the fine dust. That way you can dump the blasting media back into your blasting cabinet. It has a fluorescent light inside with a switch outside, it is kinda cheesy but it has been working just fine. It also comes with a glass protector installed, to keep the glass from getting blasted, and four or five extras. You'll need 50 pounds of blast media to get started and I would recommend a second 50 pound container to throw in once in a while to account for media lose to the shop vac. We are using 80 grit glass and the unit handles it just fine.
