The pockets and pouches are very strategically placed. Often pouches make it difficult to get to the main compartment but it does not seem to the the case.I did a very detailed review because even though Amazon lets you return with ease, it's better you know what you're getting to begin with.You'll receive:1) Diaper backpack-Main large compartment has two large pouches and one small zippered pocket.-One of two medium zippered compartment has two large pouches. On the outside there is another zippered pocket.-Second medium zippered compartment has two pouches. There is also another zippered pocket on the outside.-"Insulated" zippered bottle pocket. It is a good size, fits a bottle or water bottle. The insulation looks extremely lacking. It's not any thicker than any other pockets. Not sure if it will hold any heat or cold.-Wipes container pocket - zippers shut.2) Diaper changing pad. Standard what you receive with a diaper bag, nothing fancy.3) Wipes container. Hard plastic, feels sturdy. A little hard to close the main opening to insert wipes.4) "Insulated" bottle bag. It's rather large I posted a picture with a 8 oz avent glass bottle. It can hold three of those and still close. Once again, the insulation is lacking.5) "See through" storage bag. It's a useful little bag, has a handles and does its job.The material is thinner than bags I've gotten before, but this is an amazing price. I will update if the material does not hold up after our trip, will also update on the insulation.************************************************************************************This diaper backpack is absolutely excellent. To say the least the look/feel of the fabric is deceiving. It held up excellently during our Christmas vacation being thrown around and holding a lot of items. I ordered about 10 different backpack diaper bags, including the JuJuBe BFF, ones from Skip Hop and Fisher Price, classic Land one, and some other off-brand ones as well, and this one won! Winning features: most roomy interior, smart pocket lay-out, had stroller hooks, lightweight (some, like the BFF, were heavy empty!), comfortable carrying straps, and a nice design. I only have two knocks against it: 1) the fabric and seams don't feel as durable in comparison to the other bags (and it doesn't have the reinforced bottom that others did). I decided this wasn't a big deal because I take care of my things and will know not to overpack it or force the zippers based on other reviewers' comments. The lightweight trade off seemed worth the risk. 2) I wish it had a water bottle pocket on the side instead of a zipper pocket. Personal preference, I know.The bonus 4 interior pieces are nice, but not really a factor in my purchasing decision. I will probably use the mesh cube pouch for spare clothes, to keep them organized, and maybe the wipes container, but I already have a soft-sided one that I like; the "cooler" bag looks perfect for snapping onto my stroller as a diaper bag substitute with diapers, wipes, a snack, etc., but doesn't really seem insulated to use for bottles for an extended period of time. The changing pad is a basic changing pad--it'll do what it needs to.
