You connect this in parallel with the run capacitor for an extra kick. This SPP5 can be installed on all Air conditioners between 4000 and 120,000 BTU. 90v-277v. I know that it is strange not having the capacitance listed. My air-conditioning unit documentation said it was compatible with SPP5 Which I thought was strange as well. Why would the air-conditioner company indicated that you might need a booster? I don’t know. Maybe it is very common. But it works fine. **Q: Is this compatible with lennox el16xc1-036 a/c 3 ton single phase** A: No, this is NOT Heavy Duty enough to a 3 ton 1 phase. U need a 'bigger' Cap, but I am not sure how big. How to tell which is which?** A: It connects to the start capacitor. **Q: Using supco's univ. 3 in 1 electronic relay for 1/3,1/4 and 1/2 hp compressors. can't find anything for 3/4 hp. would this work and how would connect?** A: This unit is not heavy duty enough for larger than 1/2 hp.
