A: This test is most likely not sensitive enough for Marine aquariums.  The lowest detection level is 0.5 ppm as N (as nitrogen) which is the same as 2ppm as NO3 (as total  nitrate).

A: Over 50. The manufacturer always puts a few extra over 50 in each bottle

I have tried other brands and seems like the ones with 5-7 tests on one strip are no good for Nitrate/Nitrite. I use these for weekly spot checks, and then an advanced test kit once a month for checking all of the water parameters. These strips are very accurate and help me avoid problems. Note: I have a low bio-load in my tank. With more fish I would recommend testing more often.
