PetzVP-054V Vienna's Best Bow Rosin - Violin - Light

Excellent rosin, better than Hill, It is very forgiving and gives a warmer tone than Hill Light rosin which I still like. I also bought Andrea Solo, which gives a really LOUD tone, but if you are like me who is just a novice, it can be scratchy, but I attribute that to ME and my bowing technique because I am a noob....I have just currently received a replacement because when I tried to use the rosin th eother day, I was shocked to see it "shrank" like a prune. I live in the desert and I try to maintain a relative humidity inside from 40% to 50%. I have never had this problem with other rosins I have. Maybe I was just lucky, let's see what happen to this one.

I am only a beginning violin player; I know having a good rosin isn't going to fix all my mistakes, but having a bad rosin doesn't help anything. Rosin, even more expensive ones, are more of an investment than an expense. A rosin purchase should last several years, so I wanted to get something good, and this was named one of the best. I haven't had any issues with the Rosin thus far.

I've tried all sorts of rosins - Baker, Hill, Andrea, etc... for solo performances, I prefer Melos more - it's a bit more 'tackier' with little application and cost effective (there is a little dust tho). Vienna's best is great for chamber - it's very smooth

This is excellent rosin. It was voted the best rosin in a Warchalk test. I think it is better than Hill.

Le contenant en plastique extérieur est complètement écrasé. Le colophane est écrasé et émietté. Il n’est plus utilisable car il y toujours de petits éclats qui encrasse mon archet et compromet le son de mon violon. Le produit aurait dû être placé dans contenant rigide pour protéger le colophane. L’enveloppe souple à bulles est insuffisant pour protéger le contenant souple de ce produit !
