Very subtle, yet noticeable dark purple sheen. Feathering is not a real concern in plain paper. There is some bleeding in ordinary paper, but to be expected. Want less? Use s finer nib. Want no bleeding? Get something like a carbon ink from Platinum. Dry time is a bit longer than other inks I've tried like JH, Lamy or Platinum. Overall a very beautiful blue colored purple sheen ink. Disclaimer: you do have to use good paper to appreciate the sheen. It works by giving off a metallic finish on the edges of the strokes and along the border of the lines -where the ink blots and is heavier. If you are using plain paper the sheen will not be as noticeable due to feathering. Don't hesitate, buy it.
