Even sugary foods like "honey garlic butter shrimp" (forgot to mention above) and the mozzarella sticks (when some of the cheese bubbled out) did't cause any problems with cleaning - it wiped clean with warm soapy water. The construction is sturdy and non-stick coating is quite thick, so easy to pop out for quick wipe down cleaning.
