**Q: Will this bulb detect motion when mounted on a lamp post with the bulb facing up?**
A: I’m sure it will, I have 2 on my front porch. I can be inside with front door closed and 2 solid wood French doors closed 6 feet away and the lights come on. How, I have no idea.

**Q: Why do they just stay on. I put it in a lamp in the basement where there is no motion, and it never shuts off?**
A: There may be something in the basement triggering it. Try it in some other location. If it stays on there you may have a bad bulb.

**Q: What size is a light bulb in inches?**
A: It is approximately the same size as an old style incandescent light bulb that one would put into a table lamp or ceiling light socket. I'm using mine in an overhead recessed porch light fixture socket

**Q: What can I do so that the sensor does not detect motion in a specific direction?**
A: Shield that part of the light bulb. Hope that works.
