The window has a production flaw which allows for water to seep in backwards through a weep hole. I tried different approaches to fixing the problem without having to seal the sliding glass part of the window in place. Nothing worked, I couldn't access the trouble spot. I came across this Gutter system on desertcart and decided to try it, since I was out of options anyway. It only took a few minutes to install and now there are no more leaks. The window still has it's leak, but this gutter diverts the water from flowing down across the window in the first place, so it doesn't get a chance to infiltrate. It looks great on the trailer too, like it was put there by the factory. I appreciate simple products that do their job. I fight with my Windows 8 laptop all day long so it was nice to get something that works without having to jump through hoops to get there. Review: Simple solution to a nagging issue with many RV's - I attached about a 4' section of this on the black trim above my driver's side window of our Class-A RV. Our RV does have factory "gutters" but like many Class-A's, they suck! My gutters stop above the Driver's window, so any water from the roof (including A/C water) drains right down my window. Yuk. This product really handled the issue nicely. It comes tightly rolled up in a circle though, so you'll want to straighten it out in a warm area for a while before trying to attach it. It has very strong double-sticky tape (also very thin) that is holding up nicely on my RV after a few months of use, but I would NOT attempt to attach this until temperatures around you are at least in the upper 60's, preferably warmer. I wish I had pictures to share. What you would see is, well, nothing! That's because I attached it to the black window frame. Wondering if an adhesive promoter would help the bond?** A: The acrylic foam tape is bonded to the back of the gutter. One of the features of this product is if you need to remove it for any reason it comes off quite easily. If you use an adhesive promoter that feature would be lost. **Q: Are the similar products listed by "Esssentials" (3 s's) cheap knock-off's of this apparently really good product?** A: It worked quite well on my Monaco and I gave some to a friend with a Tiffin with equal results. Stayed attached through some really rough weather. **Q: Is it easy to form a curve like around the top of the windshield corners?** A: The material is pretty flexible. It should be able to make a curve, but not a 90 sharp corner turn. If your windshield has a curve rather than a corner it should be fine (My RV windshield is squared off with no curve, so I just went a bit beyond it. It is very effective at eliminating the drip marks in the middle of the windshield with rain or moisture. **Q: How wide is the channel the water runs in? I think the adhesive side is is 3/4"?** A: If you look at the side/end view of this product, the widest part of channel is 3/8" a depth of 1/4" and 1/2" from top of channel to top of adhesive side.
