I bought this bassinet after deliberating and comparing it with several others for a few weeks. I love it. It fits right next to our bed, so he is close by at night. We live in an apartment and don't have room for a full sized crib in our bedroom, and the crib has been taking a long time to ship overseas and has yet to come in (we are at an APO) this bassinet came in only a month, which is fast for our location.I ended up with a c-section, and the height and depth of this one makes it easy to pick our baby up and put him back. The reason I chose this bassinet is because it is high enough so I don't have to bend way over (I have a bad back.). It is a beautiful piece of nursery furniture. The teak wood gives enough pop against the white fabric bed piece. It was so easy to put together , did it with my husband in ten minutes. It looks very sweet in the bedroom. It is portable, can be folded and moved from room to room and stored easily. It is quite deep which means a safer place for baby. I would say that if you want a family heirloom piece that is sophisticated cute and useful for all adults this is the one.
