Do you have to plug it in, or something?** A: The voltage mentioned (120- bulb) is a mistake and doesn't pertain to the fire extinguisher. My dad is an electrical engineer with a master's degree and he taught me the following. There is no rating of 120 / 220 or other amps/volts when an an extinguisher is rated for "electrical" fires. When it says it s cleared for use on "electrical fires" it's just that, "electrical". The voltage doesn't matter as it's the same type of fire. The main thing is the size of the extinguisher for that possible electrical fire, i.e, this small residential unit wouldn't be ideal for commercial use. **Q: Does this expire?** A: There is no expiration day, only production day. If it is for personal use there is no monthly or yearly inspections needed, it will be in your possession at all times so you'll know when it is corroded or banged up beyond repair or when it loses pressure or when it needs refilling because of use. Every 6 years it needs to be opened by a certified place and checked from the inside, and every 12 years it needs to undergo hydro-pressure check up. Again, because of personal use you don't have to do any of that but than you'll never know if the extinguisher will do what it's supposed to do - put out the fire. Worth every penny and then some *by F***. on December 11, 2022* Never in my life have I needed a fire extinguisher in my life but a few weeks ago literally less than 2 weeks I ordered these. I installed 2 inside 1 garage and one in my truck. Never needed one just thought it was a good idea and a good price. Microwave exploded for no reason. No one even in the kitchen. I unplugged it and could see flames inside the microwave. Could only see it thru this little crack where the door latches. What was I gonna do spray it with water on electrical fire. Even unplugged that’s a bad idea. Flour salt etc how do I get it in that hole and back to where the flames are at. Could have easily spread to the cabinets and then the house. Grabbed this extinguisher from the wash room and 2 seconds later the fire was out. And it had so much more to go. Barely took anything. Came out with great force.
