One recently went on the fritz exhausting battery power regardless of the state (on, off, lights, alarm etc) within 24 hrs. A behavior distinctly different from that of the other three which last for weeks with a single battery change. This unit has been in use for 100 days. Upon contacting the vendor, for a return/repair I was very politely told all requests for exchange/replacement must be within 30 days. Likewise Amazon's A-Z guarantee is for 90 days.Call me an anachronism if you wish but I remember well when a guarantee meant an assurance of the quality of or the length of use to be expected from a product offered for sale often with a promise of reimbursement or repair and that time was at minimum a year.I recently had the opportunity to call upon another vendor of an electronic item I had purchased. The product was 2 1/2 years in use when it malfunctioned. The vendor true to there word replaced the item immediately and had the humility to apologize for my inconvenience! Now it is true the product was advertised with a 5 year warranty where the product under review is not.Have we really gotten to the point in our disposable society that 90 days is all we can reasonably expect as the serviceable life of our purchases? I for one feel it is high time consumers like us called for change!
