Review: Good deal, works fine. - For the price of this transmitter there is no reason to not get one if you need an external transmitter for your tv. It works perfectly with my Sony TV and the Sony 3D glasses I bought here on desertcart. There are 3 switches on the front and I don't know what they do so I just left them in the middle and it works fine. It came with double sided tape to mount and it holds well. That being said this type of active 3D technology has a lot of flicker and is not as enjoyable as passive 3D. It's much more tolerable viewing at night in a dark room. If the room is bright the whole room will flicker.

A: Hi Bruce, there is no need to use a 3D Sync Transmitter on your Sony XBR55X850C. The said Sony TV has already a built-in 3D transmitter and this Sony TMR-BR100 works only on Sony TV HX series only. -Ely

A: In the research that I did prior to purchasing the Sony Playstation 3D glasses, they are compatible with the transmitter. The only reason that I purchased the Sony Playstation 3D glasses was due to the rating of them. If you do a search for the glasses you are inquiring about, it will show what items were/are bought together and the transmitter bar is one of them. If you read the reviews also, there is a comparison of the Sony Playstation 3D glasses and the TDG-BR250 glasses and they were equal just about in ratings. So, I would say that you will be fine if you purchased this transmitter with those 3D glasses. Hope that this helps you.

A: I am not sure to answer the question. You can try set up 3D view from sony remote to choose which view 3D is working. If not call cable tech support They can help how to setup cable box to view 3D movie

For the price of this transmitter there is no reason to not get one if you need an external transmitter for your tv. This might be a good product but unfortunately was totally useless, did not fit my Sony Bravia. I was very disappointed and irritated because this mess could be avoided if the seller would have specified very clear which Sony TV can use this specific transmitter. Not only, but the instructions were only in Chinese - no offense to China but I'm an American and I speak ENGLISH. I'm adding a couple of pics so you can check the plug shape before you order.
