This carving fork has a feature that I think they all should have - a flip-up guard so that if the knife slips whilst cutting meat, it is deflected OVER your hand, not INTO it. It's sturdy and easy to hold. Because the guard will flip down again, it will still easily fit in the dishwasher cutlery rack. I've looked for one like this in dozens of stores and in several places online - Amazon to the rescue!
