As such, I think the rod depends more on the application than on the reel. It is light enough to jig with and powerful enough to use for trolling and everything in between. I have used my 25 as a trolling reel on a 6 foot Cal-Star GFTR-760M (40-100) tuna rod. I have also used it on my Seeker Hercules SHS-70H - 7 (40-80) jigging rod.
