**Q: Is the barrel 5.5 mm X 2.5 mm, or 5.5 mm X 2.1 mm?  The picture says the inside diameter is 2.5 mm, but the product description says it is 2.1 mm.**
A: 5.5 mm X 2.1 mm

**Q: Will this work for the Motorola Surfboard modem?**
A: Most all Motorola modems are rated 12V 750mA, so this, assuming the connector size and polarity match should be fine even if it's a rare one @ 1A. Amazon does list several power adapters for Motorola modems, so do a search for one specific and, perhaps cheaper.
