Very fresh nice hard stems
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was wasting my money on the Oxbow Timothy, I was thrown away half of the bag. It was all powder. My rabbit hated it. This is my second box of this to buy the first one they enjoyed so much. I’m hoping it stays that way. I like the hard, long stems and the feather edges. With the first box, there was very little waist spent a little bit more than I would’ve on the ox but if you look at how much I was throwing away, I have saved a lot of money, extremely pleased.

Great quality and super helpful/fast customer service!!
THIS HAY IS AMAZING!! I used to get a different brand but I noticed my bunnies not eating a ton and did a TON of research. I heard great things about this brand of hay so I decided to go for it!! I was so exited for it to come but it was raining super hard when my package was delivered so the hay got wet and I couldn’t use some of it, but I contacted the brand and they were super fast and soooooo helpful to replace my item with no extra charge!! Totally 10/10 recommend!!!

Very good quality
I switched from Kaytee because of the consistently low quality. This hay seems to be very good quality and it's a little cheaper. It does come bulk packaging, just in a large box.

Doesn’t compare well to other “first cut” brands
Good hay for the price- but I don’t agree with the description that this is first cut, it’s definitely maybe second cut at best.

READ - High Quality Hay!!
Not only has this brand been so efficient and effective in helping my bunny eat more hay, you can tell that the business itself takes very good care of their products and ships out good food for your pet! I am very loyal to this brand and have been purchasing this hay ever since I first ordered it. My bunny loves it and loves the orchard hay this brand offers even more as well! I highly recommend this product if you are trying to get your bunny to eat more hay and want a GOOD quality food for your pet. I have NEVER received bad or old hay from this brand, it is always fresh and smells so good that I almost wish I could eat it too!! 😂 Do you and your bun a favor by trying this hay, it will change the whole aspect of your bunnies health. My bunny is two years old and has never had any health issues of any sort and I consistently believe it is because of this good quality hay. I strongly believe the quality of the hay you feed your bun is what helps most with their health and digestive system. Highly recommend 10/10!!

2ND CUTTING IS BETTER! The 1st Cutting of Timothy Hay, cut up my Guinea Pigs lips!
This 1st Cutting of Timothy Hay, has such LARGE STEMS in it that it cut up my 2 1/3lb and 2 1/2lb guinea pigs upper lips when they tried to eat it, and root out the few leaves and flowers in the mix. This product is listed for sale for and "Selected" for "Small Pets" when it should be marketed towards larger pets with many of the stems measuring 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch wide! In the two years I have had my guinea pigs, I have never had a hay, cut up one of their little mouths :-(The sample bag of the Small Pet Select 2nd Cutting Timothy Hay, that I also ordered has hay and stem sizes more appropriate for smaller pets and my guinea pigs did enjoy it.I have included pictures I had taken of my guinea pigs injures, from eating the (First) 1st Cutting of Timothy Hay, and a picture of Small Pet Selects 1st Cutting of Timothy Hay, with a quarter, dime and ruler to show you how large the stems/hay is, compared to the smaller and guinea pig approved, 2nd Cutting of Timothy Hay. The last picture of one of my guinea pigs in a hay filled pen, it what happened to all of the (First) 1st Cutting of Timothy Hay, when they could not eat it.I contacted Amazon Customer Service, and I was told I could NOT return the 20lb of (First) 1st Cutting Timothy Hay, so I have contacted Small Pet Select by email, to find out if they will stand by their 100% money back guarantee, or send me a replacement 20lb box of the (Second) 2nd Cutting of Timothy Hay that my guinea pigs could safely eat, and did enjoy.

Be careful buying larger on sale. You might not get what you expect
I had bought hay from this company many times since they started. Use to come in a white plain plastic resemble bag and great hay. No longer saw the bags being offered then turned to the boxes. Getting way to pricey. In the past I was in Florida and recommended this brand to others. Now in Wa. I was excited to visit the farm but decided against it since this last time I order a huge 90 ounce bag that was on sale of Timothy hay. It was sharp long and pointy& rough. The seed heads had the long stems that could like a guinea pigs eye out. It was tougher then usual and full of white pieces of some kind of hay. I asked if I could exchange for softer hay or second cutting but they wouldn't help me and waisted all my dollars on this months hay. It soured me some and disappointed in the changes of customer service. Not like it was in beginning. My guinea pigs are newly adopted since my older long time boy passed away. These two guys are also older, thin and were starved. So them being able to eat hay with our pokes and stabs was important. I really liked the company and in the past I like the quality of the hay but then not helping me switch for softer hay even if bag is smaller being it cost more. Moral of this story. They wouldn't help and I was out of my money and piggies out of hay I had to throw away. Not the same as they use to be
